Your child is due their immunisations and 8-week development check. The child’s mother is also due their post-natal check.
A consultation has been made for both the mother and child. The details can be found in the text message. It is important to attend the pre-arranged consultation, should it not be convenient please call and let us know (01254 915005) and we can rearrange the consultation.
As this is baby’s first injection you will need to give your baby a dose of paracetamol liquid. More information about why this is needed (EXTERNAL LINK)
Please note you can buy paracetamol liquid, which is available from your local pharmacy, as the practice no longer provides this.
It is essential that you understand the importance of childhood immunisations. Our Practice Nurse is happy to discuss any concerns you have and explain the risks of disease and prevention.
Please bring the red book and your “New-born blood spot screening result” with you to the consultation.
