Our practice is committed to ensuring that all patients feel comfortable, safe, and respected during their appointments. As part of this commitment, we offer a chaperone service for any examination, procedure, or consultation where you feel it may be helpful or necessary.
What is a Chaperone?
A chaperone is a trained member of our team who is present during your consultation or examination. Their role is to:
- Provide support and reassurance during clinical examinations.
- Act as an impartial observer to ensure patient and Clinician safety.
- Help maintain dignity and confidentiality at all times.
When Can I Request a Chaperone?
You can request a chaperone:
- At any time during your appointment, for any procedure or examination.
- If you feel uncomfortable or would like additional support.
How Do I Request a Chaperone?
You can ask for a chaperone when booking your appointment or speak to your Clinician during your visit.
If a chaperone is not immediately available, we may need to reschedule your appointment to accommodate your request.
Our Commitment
All chaperones in our practice are trained to provide this service professionally and respectfully. We want to ensure you feel comfortable discussing any concerns about your care with our team.
If you would like more information about our Chaperone Policy, please contact the reception team or speak to a Clinician during your visit.
